Kristiane Backer Host
Kristiane Backer started out as a radio journalist before joining MTV Europe as a presenter.
For seven and a half years she hosted many different shows, including the two most popular ones, the European Top 20 and the daily Coca Cola Report. For the latter she interviewed major artists and reported from international events including the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. Kristiane was honoured to carry the flame.
Simultaneously she created and presented her own youth show in Germany, Bravo TV.
Kristiane won three TV awards including the Golden Camera. Through personal contacts Kristiane was introduced to the religion of Islam in 1992 and has been studying it ever since. She also travelled extensively in the Muslim world and is actively involved in cultural activities. Meeting some of the great artists and scholars here and abroad has been inspiring.
In 1996, having become an established name across the continent- Kristiane moved to NBC Europe. Here she hosted a daily culture/entertainment show "The Ticket NBC“ for which she chose many of the guests. Her programs were aired also in Eastern countries from Turkey to Dubai.
After nine years of international TV Kristiane took time out. She decided to study natural medicine+ comparative religion.
In 2000 she presented for Now.com, 2002 she was an anchor on Arab TV and 2004 she researched and presented a natural medicine show on RTL TV. Kristiane comments for major German TV stations on UK events such as Golden jubilee or Prince Charles’ wedding last year. She also regularly hosts charity events, award ceremonies, galas and business conferences around Europe and presents an inflight programme for Emirates airlines.
Omar Marzouk
Marzouk is a first-generation Egyptian-Dane who has made a successful living
challenging the political correctness that he believes prevents Danish society
from engaging in honest dialogue, especially when it comes to his country's
immigrant community.
Marzouk's comedy cuts both ways. He's as likely to offend radical right-wingers
as radical Muslims
Outlandish
The story of Outlandish is an uplifting tale about three friends’ common
adventure, which starts in the youth clubs and soccer fields of the western
Copenhagen suburbs. A compelling tale of a band that has grown strong through a
rare combination of hard work, friendship and the courage to explore new musical
paths. At the same time, Outlandish is the story of a band that insists on the
vantage point called “the world we live in,” and through subjective,
grass-root musical narratives, tries make a difference. Quite a bit has happened
since Lenny MartĂnez, Waqas Qadri and Isam Bachiri broke ground in 1997 to
build Outlandish and begin a career together.
